Sheriff Sales in Michigan...foreclosures

Sheriff Sale's happen to good people too!  They are commonly known as foreclosures!Foreclosure

When you consider a Sheriff sale most people don't think of it as a Foreclosure.  Most are finding out what the terms mean and what the posting on the front door of a home means too.

A few weeks ago a home in my neighborhood was foreclosed.  It seemed to be a shock to the neighborhood.  They never seen the posting on the front door.  That was simple...the home owner took it off just after the officer left the premises.

Many neighbors didn't know the family was in trouble until the Sheriff showed up after the redemption period and physically escorted the people out the front door.

It is very emsellingbarassing to have your belongings placed on the front lawn.  It wasn't long and they had a rental truck pulled up on the lawn and were placing their belongings into the truck.

Many people do not know they can still look at a short sale even after their home is placed on the foreclosure list while they are in the redemption period.

If you are facing a foreclosure don't be embarrassed call a professional and get help.  Save your credit and stop the foreclosure being placed on your credit with a sale in the redemption period.  Get your property sold!FlexIt Realty® Logo

Gary, I am amazed at the number of foreclosures. In our area, we are now seeing luxury homes in the higher ranges being foreclosed.  There needs to be more consumer education about the whole foreclosure process and what people can do to save their homes or employ strategies which will lessen the financial blow.

Hi Pat, this event changes peoples lives and we can help them keep their lives together when it seems everything is falling down around them.  Short Sales and foreclosures are a part of our market.

Hi Russ, it seems in our market this information is out there but consumers are not taking advantage of it as they should be to help themselves.  Thanks for the comments Russ.  Have a great holiday season.

Hi John, I have been working on helping as many people as I can...our market has 65% sales closed right now either foreclosure or short sale.  Many do not know how to address the issues to help themselves.  Thanks for the comments John.

great information. My son has a home that was originally with Countrywide and I think Bank of America bought out those notes. he got a letter almost 6 months ago to leave and hasnt done anything about it. I told him to call the sheffifs office and find out if he is being given thirty more days or he is out. I dont know the proceedure .. do you? I saw your post about a short sale. Do you think it is too late for him to try and go that route.
