Understanding Staging (Part 3 of 3)

I started a 3 part series a few days ago on staging to sell your home faster.  Here are the links in case you missed the first two parts of the series.
(Part 1 of 3) http://activerain.com/blogsview/1197034/understanding-staging-part-1-of-3-by-a-certified-stager
(Part 2 of 3) http://activerain.com/blogsview/1199194/understanding-staging-part-2-of-3-by-a-certified-stager

Part 3 is a continuation of part 2 only the focus is on colors.  Space can be created with the right coloPrimary Colorsrs.  You can make a room look smaller with dark colors or larger than it is with light colors.  You can also impact mood with colors.  You can make a room look gloomy or bright and festive.

The process of picking the right colors has become much easier.  Professionals use a color wheel that have the colors matched.  So if you would like to use contrasting colors it is easy to pick the right coordinating color with the color wheel.  Today many of the large home centers have the same features for the "Do It Yourself" decorator.  The differColor Wheelence you are on your own.  But ask advice ask them to show you the color wheels or patch strips for matching colors.

Why go to all the trouble and get your curb appeal ready, have the inside and out so inviting and then miss the mark with the wrong color choice?  The righ color choices puts the finishing touches on getting your home sold faster and for more money!

Painting is does not have to be expensive but it does have to look good.  If you know you can not edge lines without smearing the woodwork have someone else do it for you.  If you know you are going to have trouble call a Certified Stager to help you.  They may cost a few hundred dollars depending on what you contract but it could be the difference in selling fast and not selling at all!

Remember a few simple rules, light more open and festive, darker smaller and less inviting.  Neutral colors are always best.  Why?  Because if fit more buyers and bright colors will attract fewer buyers.  Your goal....sell!

Hope this helps you.
